About Us
RockinEDC was founded in San Antonio, Texas, where tradition, grit, and craftsmanship run deep. As a bladesmith and knifemaker, I forge and build each piece with the intent that it becomes more than just a tool, it becomes part of your everyday life.
From chef knives and cleavers to hunters, skinners, and compact everyday carry blades, every knife is made with care, balance, and durability in mind. I work with a range of proven steels including 1095, 5160, 80CrV2, and others selected for toughness, edge retention, and real-world reliability. Each build is matched to the purpose of the knife.
Handles and scales are crafted from a variety of natural and man-made materials such as mesquite, ironwood, cocobolo, micarta, and G10. No two pieces are ever the same materials, grain, and finishes vary by design and availability, making every item truly unique.
Cutting boards and shop goods are handcrafted from solid hardwoods, often including South Texas mesquite, acacia, and walnut, as well as other durable woods depending on the project. Leather sheaths and accessories are hand-cut and tooled to complement each knife and stand up to daily use. Kydex sheaths are also made in-house when durability and utility call for it, especially for EDC and working knives.
The RockinEDC Maker’s Mark is inspired by traditional Texas cattle brands... symbols of ownership, heritage, and pride. It represents a commitment that every piece has been shaped by hand, tested for reliability, and built to serve.
EDC - Everyday Carry is the philosophy behind everything we make. These are tools meant to be used, relied on, and carried with purpose. Every RockinEDC piece reflects Texas craftsmanship: honest, functional, and made to last.
